The new decision passed Tuesday by the Sebes Local Council approves the sale, by open public tender, of 3.5 hectares of land situated near the Pehart factory, part of the private domain of the municipality, on Energiei Street.

Svenska Cellulosa Aktiebolaget will pay EUR 700,000 to the Sebes Municipality in exchange of the 35,000 sq.m of land near the Petresti paper mill. The investment made by the Swedish company specialised in sanitary products will be completed within the next two years and will create 100 new jobs.

At the beginning of October, the Sebes Local Council had rejected the draft decision for the sale of the land destined to the factory, so the Swedish company was ready to relocate its investment to Dej, Cluj County. The local press referred to an investment worth EUR 150 M. (source: nineoclock.ro)
