‘All companies in the defence industry, except for IAR Ghimbav Brasov are in deficit.So, the three companies from Dambovita in Mija, Dragomisti and Automecanica Moreni are included although they have orders’ Encutescu said.

The minister of economy Mihai Tudose together with several officials of the ministry made a working visit to the Dambovita county, at the three companies in the defence industry:Mija, Dragomiresti and Automecanica Moreni.According to the minister, there will be an evaluation of the situation of the three companies with the respective managers. The visit to the territory has the role of identifying the future potential of the companies.

The representatives of the ministry of economy talked about the armored personnel carrier (TBT 8x8) which is under construction at Automecanica Moreni. The carrier is to be built as prototype and will benefit from financing in the future as well.

‘We have to create a product which corresponds to the necessities of our army – in the last five years and in the future 15 years . The company in Mija works and produces well, we have orders for RPG 7 and RPG 9 similarly to reactive projectives. Similarly in Dragomiresti, it is the one which charges all bombs, everything we have as ammunition over 40 mm.’ the state secretary Sorin Encutescu said.

 The three companies in the armament industry in the Dambovita county, Uzina Mecanica Mija, Uzina de Produse Speciale Dragomiresti and Automecanica Moreni, are branches of ROMARM, national company with 100% state capital, through the ministry of economy. (Source: actmedia.eu)
