“The new operation in Romania will be an excellent complement to our existing operation in Poland,” said Janusz Kasprzyk, Vice President for European Operations with Kimball Electronics.

 

Kimball Electronics will start building the new factory near the Timisoara airport. The facility will span over 6,000 sqm and will have multiple production lines. The company will begin hiring in the third quarter, but gave no details on how many jobs it will create.

 

“The addition of Romania is a natural fit in our strategic plan to support our customers’ growth initiatives and we are confident that we will build a capable and competent team here too,” said Don Charron, Chairman and CEO of Kimball Electronics.

 

Kimball Electronics specializes in durable electronics for the medical, automotive, industrial and public safety markets. Its headquarters are in Jasper, Indiana and it has manufacturing operations in the United States, Mexico, Thailand, Poland, and China.
