At the event, company representatives presented the achievements of Bosch Group, a global technology and services leader when it comes to latest-generation innovative equipment. Likewise, Bosch hosted on Saturday innovative exhibits that were presented by Bosch Rexroth at Hannover Messe, the biggest industrial technology fair in the world, exhibits that are representative for the mechatronics, linear, hydraulic and electrical engineering technology.

Thus, the general public was able to see the solutions offered by the Drive & Control division present in Romania since 2007 through Blaj-based Bosch Rexroth.

The event was also attended by Romanian President Klaus Iohannis. In his speech, the Romanian President emphasized that innovation does not appear anytime and anyhow, but mostly where there is free initiative and market economy. The Head of State also said that those who invest constantly in research and development will be more productive and much stronger.

He opined that innovation is the essence of development and not just for technology domain companies. Appreciating the innovative values of the German concern and Romania’s interest in attracting an ever growing number of foreign investors, the President added: “Without doubt attracting foreign investments is a major priority for Romania. To the same extent however, we also have to focus on supporting Romanian capital and local investments that unfortunately are in great distress today.”

Information about Bosch Group’s preoccupations and results in the innovation domain were presented by Robert Bosch SRL CEO Mihai Boldijar, Bosch Rexroth SRL CEO Werner Richter, Bosch Rexroth SRL Research and Development Department Manager Joerg Sigrist, and Robert Bosch SRL Cluj (Jucu) CEO Konrad Kaschek.

In the next two years Bosch Group estimates it will invest approximately EUR 55 M in Romania, especially in developing production units in the Mobility Solutions sector. In Blaj the company will open a new production line for electrical components of engine blocks. The investment estimated for this new project surpasses EUR 40 M. Likewise, this year Bosch opened a new research and development center for auto technology in Blaj. The center will focus on offering services in the product design, product testing and validation domains, as well as project management for other Bosch units, a communiqué released by the company points out.

Other points of attraction were the photo exhibition focusing on the oil industry, as well as the opportunity to take novel photographs: a 150-meter-high crane built with Bosch Rexroth components allowed participants to see both the Bosch plant and the Blaj municipality from a new perspective.

The autonomous vehicle endowed with innovative Bosch technology was exhibited in Blaj, for the first time in Romania. The participants to the event were also able to see other novelties and innovations, both in the Mobility Solutions sector as well as in the Industrial Technology sector. Hybrid cars, electrical bicycles with Bosch propulsion system and many other exhibits were among them. (Source: nineoclock.ro)
