Dacia’s logistic division, which is located on the car industrial platform in Mioveni, near Pitesti, coordinates the shipping of Dacia, Renault, and Nissan car components to Renault-Nissan factories all over the world as well as the shipping of Dacia cars in Romania and abroad.

 

Dacia is the biggest company in Romania with a turnover of EUR 4.3 billion in 2015. The company sold 339,000 cars and over 1 million car kits (CKD) that were shipped for assembly in other Renault plants, according to the annual report.

 

This workload implies a big logistic effort as Dacia works with hundreds of local and foreign logistic suppliers.

 

Graham Lawrence Aylett, 43, studied logistics and supply chain management in the UK. He worked for almost 20 years at the Renault-Nissan spare parts center in Lutterworth, UK, before coming to Romania in 2010, where he coordinated Renault’s spare parts center in Oarja, which is also near Pitesti.

French group Renault, the owner of Romanian carmaker Dacia, also brought a new general manager at the helm of its operations in Romania, in April this year. Frenchman Yves Caracatzanis replaced Nicolas Maure, who was appointed CEO of carmaker Avtovaz in Russia, also controlled by Renault. (source: Romania-insider.com)
