The EUR 8.5 million transaction was signed by Decoopman with the company Jos Deslee BVBA, the world’s most important manufacturer of textiles for sleeping mattresses.

„A few months ago I sold CDI Company, the company operating the logistics park in Miercurea Sibiului for EUR 8.5 million. I am getting old and my children are not interested in investing in Romania, so I decided to sell the local businesses“, says the businessman who solely controlled CDI Company.

The seller and the buyer were assisted in this transaction by the law house Voicu & Filipescu.

CDI Company, the company managed by Carl Decoopman, bought in 2003 a plot of land of 66,700 square metres in Miercurea Sibiului, where he built an industrial park.

Decoopman is well known on the local market for being CEO and one of the three shareholders of the real estate developer BelRom. He says he is no longer shareholder of the Belgian company, but he doesn’t give further details. On the developer’s website, Carl Decoopman is no longer member of the board.(source: zf.ro
