Joanna Sinkiewicz will assume the position of Head of Industrial & Logistics CEE. In her new role, she will be responsible for coordinating activities and initiatives in the industrial and logistics sector in 8 countries across the CEE region, building business relationships with the company's clients and searching for tenants interested in expanding into the CEE region. Joanna will focus primarily on strengthening the company's regional structures and maximizing the benefits for its clients resulting from their presence in all of Central and Eastern Europe’s key markets.

Joanna has many years of experience in working with tenants from a range of different industries, including logistics, distribution, pharmaceuticals, and production, to name a few such as Allegro, Coca-Cola, Damco, Euro-Net, FM Logistic, Inpost, Junghenrich, Medivet, Panalpina, Phoenix Pharma, Sonoco, TRW, Unisourse, and UPS.

Before joining CBRE, Joanna Sinkiewicz was a partner and director of the industrial department for the CEE region at Cushman & Wakefield and the director of the Industrial and Logistics Agency in Poland. Joanna is a graduate of the Faculty of Law at the University of Warsaw and the Warsaw School of Economics in the field of Management and Marketing, with a specialization in real estate management. She holds the title of a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and belongs to the SIOR (Society of Industrial Office Realtors) association of real estate advisors.

The Romanian industrial modern stock reached approx. 5.38 million sqm at the end of the first half of 2021, after 240,000 sqm were delivered in the first six months, according to CBRE Research. Half of the total new supply was added to Bucharest’s industrial stock, while the other half represented expansions of West / North West, South and Central industrial hubs. Bucharest remains the largest industrial hub in Romania, gathering 2.68 million square meters and continues to be amongst the first option for expansion or first entry area for most developers, as in the last five and a half years it attracted at least half of the yearly deliveries.

The vacancy rate for the country’s modern industrial stock stands at 5.5% in the first six months of 2021, while Bucharest’s vacancy rate reached at 6.0%, values on a descendent path compared with the last semester of 2020. Headline rent in logistic parks kept a stable pace, remaining at EUR 3.90 sq m/month, while the net effective rent is EUR 3.50 sq m/month for a 5,000 sq m unit, shows the CBRE Research data.
