The warehouse is situated in WDP Park Oarja near Pitesti, southern Romania. According to sources in the market, the warehouse will be used by CEVA Logstics for an ongoing contract with Pirelli group.

The warehouse is already in construction and will be completed this autumn.

CEVA Logistics was represented in the transaction by BNP Paribas Real Estate.

”The decision to choose the logistic park WDP Park Oarja-Piteşti was determined by the location, namely the proximity to the factory owned by one of the key clients of the logistics operator, the availability of the workforce and the availability of WDP to develop the warehouse according to the client’s specifications”, said Marcin Zuchniewicz, associate director of BNP Paribas Real Estate Poland.

Jeroen Biermans, CEO of WDP Romania, also said that the project represented a new phase of the strategic growth on the Romanian market and would strengthen the company’s position on the industrial development segment.

WDP will also develop three distribution centres for Decathlon, Gebrüder Weiss and KLG, increasing the local portfolio value on the local market to EUR 150 million.
Its largest investment will be in a centre for Decatholn in northern Bucharest. Moreover, the company signed for the development of two new projects in Cluj-Napoca for the logistics companies KLG and Gebruder Weiss, with 5,000 sqm and 2,400 sqm respectively, with extension possibility.
By adding the three new warehouses, WDP portfolio will reach 150,000 square metres.
WDP (Warehouses De Pauw) has a European portfolio of 3 million square metres of industrial spaces. The company is present in Romania since 2007. (source: zf.ro)
