The National Company of Motorways (CNADR) wants to outsource technical expertise for achieving a feasibility study for the rehabilitation of DN 7C - Transfăgărăşan.

 

The project mainly aims to rehabilitate and modernize the existing road, so that circulation is open all year round on thesection of road between km 10 + 000 ( Black Peak ) and km 130 + 800 (Balea Waterfall), through the adoption of appropriate technical solutions.

DN 7C is an altitude road connecting southern Romania with Transylvania, crossing the Carpathians. The road reaches Vidraru dam and is open to seasonal traffic from June to November, being a tourist road thorough the mountains.

The contract has an estimated value of 2.99 million lei, without VAT and will last 12 months. Tenders may be submitted by interested companies by the 16th of September .
