Construction parts manufacturer Terwa România, took over by the American group Horizon Global
The American group Horizon Global reached an agreement for the takeover of the German company Westfalia-Automotive and of the construction parts manufacturer Terwa, present also in Romania, for EUR 125 million in cash and shares, from a consortium managed by the German private equity fund Deutsche Private Equity (DPE), which will become shareholder of the American company.
Headquartered in the Netherlands, Terwa develops, manufactures and distributes a large range of metallic systems for constructions. The company entered Romanian market in 2000 and four years later relocated the production from the Netherlands to the factory in Brasov.
Terwa entered DPE portfolio in the beginning of last year, when was taken over from the Dutch investment fund Standard Investment. (source: profit.ro)
