The investments for the new warehouse and offices have exceeded EUR 12 million.
Continental plans to expand its production capacity in the next years, so the new expansion measures were taken in this respect.

„The production expansion was necessary due to the increasing number of products we need to deliver to our clients. The factory faced an impressing evolution in its ten years of existence. We started with 200 employees in 2006 and we reached more than 1,300”, has declared Ralf Luchs, factory director.

The factory has already produced more than 60 million electronic parts.

The factory in Timisoara won Green Plant Silver Award in 2016 and Gold Automotive Award.

The company has five divisions, all present in Romania: Chassis & Safety, Interior, Powertrain, Tires and ContiTech.
Continental has invested EUR 1.13 billion in Romania in the period 1999-2015.
In Romania, Continental owns seven production units and four research and development centres in Timisoara, Sibiu, Carei, Nadab, Brasov and Iasi. Continental is partner of a joint-venture in Slatina and has a distribution centre for its tires in Bucharest. (source: hotnews.ro)
