CTP Invest bought 25.75pct of the shares of the company Universal Management, owner of 70-80 ha of land at km23 on A1 highway. The seller is controlled indirectly by the family of the businessman Nicolae Raţiu. The price paid by the investors for the 20 ha of land reached EUR 4 million, according to information of Capital magazine. Moreover, CTP also secured the right to buy the entire plot in the future.

Nicolae Raţiu started to merge the land since 2000 and obtained the “industrial park” title in 2002. Part of the land owned here was sold to American Prologis, which have developed a series of warehouses bought last year by CTP and another part was sold to logistics services supplier H. Essers.
Most probably, the plot bought by CTP will be used for the expansion of the former Prologis park, where CTP started last month to build speculatively a new building with an area of 60,000 sqm and a value of investment of EUR 35 million.

Last year, after the acquisition of five logistics parks and smaller warehouses, as well as of more than 120 ha of land, CTP became leader on the Romanian market too, even if in January 2015 it didn’t have any operational property locally. The company’s local portfolio reached an area of 500,000 sqm, with investment exceeding EUR 250 million.

CTP bought last year two of the largest logistics parks in the country, The most important asset of the company is Bucharest West bought from Portland Trust for approx. 60 million. The park, situated at km13 on A1 highway, has warehouses with an area of 130,000 sqm and 11 ha of land available for expansion. In the same area, CTP bought, with nearly EUR 40 million, Prologis Park Bucharest A1, a logistics park with an area f more than 100,000 sqm and 36 ha of land for expansion. Following this transaction, Prologis made its exit from Romania.

CTP portfolio also includes Deva Logistics Park, Mercury Logistics Park and Cefin Logistic Park Arad, as well as the first project fully developed by the company for the German manufacturer Frankische, on a plot owned by CTP in Turda and two smaller warehouses in Ghiroda (near Timişoara) and in Deva.
CTP also owns lands in Sibiu, Cluj and near Piteşti. In Cluj, the company has recently delivered a distribution centre, of 25,000 sqm, to Profi. (source: capital.ro)
