The majority of take up went to companies already established on the Slovak market that were looking to expand. Most of them are active in the automotive and logistics sectors.

 

Lease contracts were signed on 35,000 sqm of modern space, while 19,000 sqm were older class B warehouses. Western Slovakia signed 39,500 sqm, while the eastern part of the country only saw 14,500 sqm in leases.

 

Martin Baláž, head of C&W’s industrial department for Slovakia and the Czech Republic, noted that there is increasing interest for warehouse space not only from existing clients but also from newcomers who want to open branches in Slovakia. (source: cijjournal.com)
