The paradigm shift in recent months has led players in the industrial and logistics sectors to rethink their business strategy. Based on the uncertainty generated by the evolution of the virus and a road transport infrastructure under development, the decrease of the central warehouse area and the focus on the development of a regional network is an increasingly necessary option.

The Danfoss warehouse in Popesti-Leordeni has a strategic position in the south of the capital and offers a mix of features that meet the requirements of operators: positioned 12 km from the city center and 700 m from the ring road, it can be the headquarters of a new regional office.

The Danish group Danfoss built the production and storage hall in June 2009, following an investment of about 10 million euros. Currently, the production of heating substations has been moved to Poland, and the Danfoss group sells the factory assets for about 5 million euros.

The property for sale consists of a plot of 3.9 hectares, a production and storage area with a usable area of over 4,000 square meters, office space on two levels: 1,000 square meters in the hall and 1,600 square meters upstairs for administrative offices and 95 parking spaces, according to data from the consulting company Cushman & Wakefield Echinox, mandated to sell the property.

"In order to streamline the supply chain, we will see more production units moved to Central and Eastern Europe. Of course, there will be competition between countries, where everything will count, from infrastructure and human resources to tax incentives and state aid. Romania is attractive from this point of view and, currently, we have some discussions in this direction ", said Andrei - Marius Brînzea, Partner Land & Industrial Cushman & Wakefield Echinox for Profit.ro.
