According to a statement sent by representatives of Delphi Packard, the factory in Moldova Noua will be closed due to the "constraints caused by the limited workforce available in the region".

"Following the meeting held on 19 January with the representatives of the union, the Aptiv Electrical Distribution Systems Romania management team announced that the Moldova Noua plant can no longer support a complete project because of the limited workforce constraints available. In order to carry out a project that is specific to our industry, based mainly on the labor force, we need more staff than we have been able to attract from the region, so we have to make the decision to adjust operations in Romania", announced Delphi Packard.

According to the representatives of the company, production activity in Moldova Noua will be terminated at the end of March, so that the 698 employees will remain unemployed.
On the other hand, Mayor of Moldova Noua, Adrian Torma, told the MEDIAFAX correspondent that he is trying to find another big investor. (source: zf.ro)
