This fall, Dunwell Industrial Brokerage has completed the process of brokering two warehouse lease deals near Bucharest for PepsiCO, one of the world's leading suppliers of soft drinks and snacks. Negotiations started in June were completed in early October and the spaces were leased within two logistics parks of CTP Romania and Helios Phoenix Group.

The first transaction refers to the 10.000 m2 extension of the Pepsi warehouse in the CTPark Bucharest logistics park at 13th km of the A1 motorway. This is a space in a new building, which was completed in the course of this month. The facility was built according to CTP standards, the longest developer and long-term administrator of premium industrial and logistics parks in Romania and Central and Eastern Europe. This means, among other things, the use of the most modern and economical lighting systems as well as the use of constructive solutions that lead to a considerable decrease of the operating costs by increasing the energy efficiency.

"We are very pleased that the Dunwell team has successfully completed these transactions involving large companies on the Romanian market. The confidence they have given us and the results made us rethink the development forecasts for next year in a positive and courageous way. The PepsiCo expansion in the capital's area also shows that the Romanian real estate industry and logistics sector still has potential for expansion. The southern part of Bucharest is also interesting for investors despite the problems related to road infrastructure. We hope this interest will materialize with new developments in the near future", said Marian Orzu, Managing Partner of Dunwell.

The second transaction was brokered by Dunwell for Star Foods, a PepsiCo brand, which rented a space of 17,000 m2 located in the Olympian Park East Bucharest logistics park in Popeşti-Leordeni, a park owned by Helios Phoenix Group. The building under construction is scheduled for delivery in March next year.

"The transaction signed this autumn confirms the need for logistics customers in this part of the capital. Interest in the southern area of Bucharest is on the rise, and we are ready to respond to this demand. Collaboration with Dunwell has taken place in excellent conditions and helps us consolidate our position in a market where we have been present for over two decades", said Athos Myrianthous, Development Director at Helios Phoenix Group.

The Dunwell team is currently carrying out several projects involving the trading of industrial and logistics facilities at national level, which are expected to be completed by the end of this year. (source: Dunwell)
