"From the total, the investments in phase 1 of the new logistics center will be 65 million euros, a part with money from banks. The warehouse will be ready in December 2018", the company's representative said.

In 2018, eMAG is investing over 120 million euros, including investment in the new logistics center, according to Iulian Stanciu, eMAG CEO.
Last year, eMAG invested 63m euros in four main directions to support rapid development as a regional ecommerce hub: employees (2m euros), logistics (10m euros), technology (27m euros), and international development (24 million euros).

Turnover in Romania increased by 28% compared to last year, reaching 2.58 billion lei, and the figure of the entire eMAG group increased to 4.06 billion lei.

"The number of customers and the turnover are a result of the long-term investment we have made in technology. We are at a time when eCommerce is growing at an accelerated pace globally and locally. We rely on technology and our team and we will continue to invest in Romanian innovation: here we have people, here we have created intellectual property and services that are a model for other countries", added the eMAG CEO during a press conference.
