Emerson has completed in the end of last year the construction of a production facility of 16,500 sq. m and of an office building of 5,000 sq. m for its engineering and financial, commercial, IT and management services. The new Emerson unit is situated in Eurobusiness industrial park, owned by Oradea City Hall.

’’Romania was from the beginning a good place for Emerson to start operations and develop them in order to serve our European clients. Romania has a qualified workforce and the unit in Oradea is an attractive location, offering a large space, easy access to transportation networks and growth potential for the future’’, has declared Pierre Sarre, vice-president of Emerson group for the divisions Leroy-Somer and Control Techniques.

Emerson took the decision to expand in Oradea in 2012, as its unit in Cluj-Napoca would reach maximum occupancy in the following period.

As the expansion possibility didn’t exist in Cluj, Emerson bough 24.5 ha plot in Eurobusiness industrial park in Oradea for nearly EUR 2.4 million and started operations in October 2015.

The Emerson campus in Oradea currently includes production activities and support for the units Control Techniques and Leroy-Somer, and the total investment will reach nearly EUR 80 million by 2022, according to the company’s investments plans. (source: zf.ro)
