The space will become the retailer’s main warehouse starting October this year, helping to decrease the delivery time to the store and faster delivery to final clients. By choosing this new location, the company is practically doubling its storage capacity for Bucharest stores.

”By the end of 2016, we will have at least 6 regional logistics centres in the most important cities in the country, aiming the operational efficiency. Our own warehouses, situated in strategic areas, will allow us to cover efficiently the regions with the most orders. Therefore, not only the clients in the cities, but also those in neighbouring localities, who cannot visit our stores or cannot transport easily the products to their homes, would receive them the fastest as possible”, says Dragoş Sîrbu, CEO Flanco Retail.

Curretnly, the company already has operational centres in Iaşi and Timişoara and intends to open by the end of May the regional logistics centre in Sibiu and Constanţa. Moreover, Flanco will inaugurate this autumn a centre in Cluj-Napoca.

”More than 90 pct of the deliveries are currently delivered in the same day, or, depending on the hour of the order, in the following working day. We wish that this time interval to shorten eve more, gradually”, added Dragoş Sîrbu.

For the clients in Flanco Băneasa, the company already applied a system of delivery of maximum two hours to the client’s door. The service is free and is also applicable to Saturdays and Sundays.

„The most important service we provide to our clients is offering the opportunity to focus on their main activities, by taking over their logistics activities”, said Dragoş Geletu, Managing Director of KLG Europe Logistics România.

With a number of more than 1350 employees, Flanco owns a network of 113 stores, in the most important commercial zones in 68 cities. (source: zf.ro)
