The document will be signed by Georgia’s Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Mikeladze and Romania’s Deputy Minister of Transport Marian Buitsa, Georgia’s Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development told Trend agency.

 “The visit of the Romanian delegation and execution of a memorandum of mutual understanding will contribute to restoration of the ferry connection between the ports of the two countries in the near future which in turn is a prerequisite of growth in Georgia’s port cargo turnover, development of transit potential and creation of new working places,” the ministry said.

 

During the visit, the delegation examined Batumi and Poti ports, as well as held a meeting of the bilateral working group on the restoration of the ferry train between Romanian Constanta port and Georgian Batumi and Poti ports.
