Costin joined JLL Romania last year as Business Developer Industrial in charge of supporting the management in seizing the opportunities in this growing market. He will continue his current role alongside with his new local responsibilities, developing the company's industrial and logistics business and will be providing leasing consultancy and tenant representation services to a variety of clients including developers and end users.

His predecessor - Cristina Pop, was with JLL for over three years and is now moving into Asset Management territory with one of JLL clients.

"Romanian industrial market has witnessed several record breaking landmarks in 2016: modern industrial stock exceeded 2,5 million sqm and gross-take-up surpassed 460.000 sqm which makes it one of the best years in the history of the market," said Costin Banica, head of Industrial Agency JLL Romania.

"Romania will remain highly attractive for both industrial developers and occupiers due to its strategic location in Europe and to the large consumer market with growing spending power. We expect 340,000 sqm of new developments to be delivered this year, which is almost the same level as the volume registered in 2016; we can safely assume a stable market growth."
