Most of the transactions in the period were signed in Bucharest, nearly 53% of the total demand, followed by Cluj-Napoca with 21% and Timisoara, with 17%.

The largest two lease transactions were also signed in Bucharest: 20,000 sqm, signed by Van Moer and 14,000 sqm signed by NOD, both in CTPark Bucharest West.
The third largest transaction was signed in Timisoara, on an area 9,300 sqm, between RPW Logistics in CTPark Timisoara II, followed by the transaction in which Mediapost signed for 7,000 sqm in LogIQ Mogosoaia.

Out of the total transacted volume, expansions represented nearly 40%, followed by pre-leases – nearly 37%. New leases represented only 22 percent of the total take-up registered in the first half of the year.

The most active occupiers were companies active in Logistics/Distribution sector, recording a total volume of almost 90,000 sqm (73 percent share from the total take-up).

The study also shows that only 20 % of the new supply was delivered throughout the first half of 2018. By the end of the year, approximately 450,000 sqm of space is expected to be completed, which will increase the total stock in the country by 14 percent, thus exceeding the 3.5 million sqm threshold.
