The decreases in October 2014 were triggered by declining business deals in capital goods industry (-7.0%), durables industry (-1.6%) and intermediate goods industry (-1.6%).

 

In October 2014, compared to October 2013, new industrial orders rose overall by 1.4%, due to the increases seen by durables industry (+51.2%), consumer goods industry (+6.5%) and intermediate goods industry (+0.9%). Capital goods industry declined by 1.3%.

Calculated in the ten first months of 2014 compared to the first ten months of 2013, new industrial orders went up overall by 6.2%, due to the increases recorded in durables industry (+35.2%), consumer goods industry (+7.7%), intermediate goods industry (+7.5%) and capital goods industry (+4.0%).
