The first spot in the EU in the annual industrial output increase in February is taken By Slovakia (9 percent), followed by Romania (8.9 percent). On goods categories, the industrial output in the EU registered the highest advances in the intermediary goods industry (4.6 percent), in the current goods industry (2.7 percent) and the durable goods industry (1.5 percent), while the energy industry registered declines of minus 7.2 percent.

In February 2014 compared with the previous month, the industrial output increased 0.2 percent in the Eurozone and 0.4 percent in the rest of the European Union. Romania, though, is among the states where the industrial output registered the deepest drops, minus 1.3 percent, more significant decreases being registered in Croatia (minus 2.8 percent) and Estonia (minus 2.2 percent).

 

On goods categories, in February 2014 compared with the previous month, the industrial output in the EU registered growth in the current goods industry (0.9 percent), while the energy industry declined 1.4 percent and the durable goods industry dropped 0.7 percent. (source: nineoclock.ro)
