The highest growths of the industrial production in June were posted by Denmark (4.2 percent), the Netherlands (3.9 percent), Slovakia (1.4 percent), Finland (1.2 percent), the Czech Republic (1 percent), Lithuania (0.7 percent), Bulgaria, Spain, Poland and Romania (0.6 percent each).

The largest decreases were recorded by Croatia (minus 2.9 percent) followed by Portugal (minus 2.1 percent) and Ireland (minus 2 percent), according to Eurostat.

The diminished industrial production in the EU-28 was due to the production of capital goods falling by 1.2 percent, durable consumer goods by 0.4 percent and the intermediate goods by 0.1 percent. However, production of energy rose by 1.5 percent.

In June 2015 industrial production increased by 1.7 percent in EU-28 year on year, while Romania saw a 3 percent rise.

The highest rises in the industrial production were reported in Ireland (27.6 percent), Denmark (7.6 percent) and Lithuania (6.9 percent), while the most significant decline was seen in Greece (minus 4.6 percent), Estonia (minus 3.4 percent) and the Netherlands (minus 2.4 percent).
