In July 2017, industrial output (gross series) decreased by 3.0% over the previous month, due to decreases in manufacturing (-3.4%) and mining and quarrying (-2.5%).

The production and supply of electric and thermal energy, gas, hot water and air conditioning increased by 3.2%.

Industrial production, adjusted series according to the number of working days and seasonality, was smaller than the previous month by 1.5%.

Mining and the production and supply of electric and thermal energy, gas, hot water and air conditioning decreased by 5.2% and 2.1% respectively, and manufacturing increased by 0.3%.

Between 1 January and 31 July 2017, industrial production (gross series) was 8.0% higher than in the period from 1 January to 31 July 2016, as a result of increases in the three industrial sectors: manufacturing (+8.6%), mining and quarrying (+ 3.3%) and electricity and heating, gas, hot water and air conditioning (+ 2.2%).

Industrial production, seasonally adjusted and adjusted series, between January 1 and July 31, 2017, compared to January 1 to July 31, 2016, increased by 8.7 percent due to increases in manufacturing (+8.8%), production and supply of electricity and heat, gas, hot water and air conditioning (+ 2.7%) and mining and quarrying (+ 2.4%).
