Last year, the company started investments worth EUR 5 million, due for completion in 2016.  In 2014, it invested EUR 3 million to increase its production capacity for the products already in its portfolio and to acquire and renovate the Romlag Brasov production halls.

 

The second investment stage, which the company started this year, amounts to EUR 4 million and aims to increase and diversify production.

 

Bilka ended 2014 with a turnover of RON 134 million (EUR 30 million) and a market share of 24%. Its factory currently covers 45,000 sqm.

 

According to company estimations, the local market went up by some 5-8% in the first three months of this year. BILKA expects the market to grow 10-15% by the end of 2015. (source: Romania-insider.com)
