„The National Union of Road Transporters from Romania draws the attention of the Government, Parliament and Romanian Presidency that the road freight operators are getting tired with the lack of measures from authorities regarding the RCA market crisis after the tariffs for B0 class trucks doubled, reaching over RON 22,000 per year. Thus, as a protest, the road freight operators will go on Japanese strike until the RCA premiums will be reduced to the maximum values according to the data comprised in the report from this year for 2013-2015 period by the consultancy company Milliman at the request of the Financial Supervision Authority (FSA).

Moreover, the road freight operators who attend the strike are invited to put a A4 placard on the windscreen with the message „RCA protest- I drive one hour/day with 30 km/h- I want to live”, message that indicates the bankruptcy that road freight operators are put into by the Government, Parliament, Presidency, ASF and insurers, says the release.

Furthemore, UNTRR together with other associations from the road transport sector will stage on September 15 a large protest at national level.

„Most of the road freight operators are put into bankruptcy after the premium tariffs for the commercial transport of freigh and people increased by over 300 percent compared with the last year and with over 500 percent compared with 2014. Therefore, an RCA policy for a B0 class tractor reached RON 22,000/year compared with RON 4,000 in 2014, ” says UNTRR. (source: business-review.eu)
