The last three months of 2014 brought a 0.5% quarterly economic increase, according to data from the National Statistics Institute INS. End-2014, the GDP was up 2.6% on gross series, and 2.5% on seasonally adjusted series, compared to 2014.

 

Industry helped the economy go up – the sector rose 0.9% and weighted a quarter in the GDP. Information and communications were also starts of the economy, with a growth of 0.6% and a weight of 6% in the GDP.

 

On the other hand, however, slower financial brokerage and insurance activities, which were down 2.7%, had a negative impact on the economy. (source: Romania-insider.com)
