On main industrial groups, there were increases in several sectors: capital goods – 13.4%, durable goods – 8.2%, intermediary goods – 4.6% and consumer goods – 4.4%.

Romania’s industrial production up 7.4% in nine months
The industrial production increased by 7.4% year-on-year in the first nine months of 2014, as gross series, and by 8.5% as adjusted series by number of working days and seasonality, mainly due to the growth in manufacturing industry (up 8.8%) and in mining and quarrying (up 0.6%), according to data from the Statistics Institute INS.
