Prefect of Brasov, Marian Rasaliu, said that although the advantage of the strategic position of the city in the center of the country and the skilled workforce would balance the investors' decision, the lack of infrastructure, of an airport and of the highway are important disadvantages.
"They have opened factories in Poland and the Czech Republic and want to open a factory in Romania, but we can not know yet whether it will be a telephony or television factory", Rasaliu said.

Samsung officials deny the information that they are preparing to develop a factory in the area. "Samsung Electronics Romania's meeting with representatives of local authorities in Brasov was conjunctural and was not linked to local development plans. Romania is a country with high potential, but Samsung Electronics did not announce the intention to invest in a factory", the company's representatives said.
