FOB exports from January 1 to November 30, 2014 were worth 216.295 billion lei (48.659 billion euro), and CIF imports stood at 239.827 billion lei (53.96 billion euro). Compared to January 1 to November 30, 2013, exports increased by 7.1 percent in lei values (6.5 percent in euro values) and imports rose by 6.6 percent in lei values (6.0 percent in euro values).

FOB-CIF trade deficit from January 1 to November 30, 2014 was 23.531 billion lei (5.304 billion euro), up by 507.2 million lei (91.7 million euros) than that in the period January 1 to November 30, 2013.

The value of intra-EU trade (Intra-EU 28) from January 1 to November 30, 2014 was worth 153.958 billion lei (34.661 billion euro) for exports and 180.545 billion lei (40.650 billion euros for imports, representing 71.2 percent of total exports and 73.3 percent of total imports. The value of extra-EU trade (Extra-UE28) over the same period reached 62.337 billion lei (13.998 billion euro) for exports and 59.282 billion lei (13.313 billion euro) for imports, representing 28.8 percent of total exports and 24.7 percent of total imports.

From January 1 to November 30, 2014, important shares in the structure of exports and imports were held by the following groups of products: cars and transport equipment (42.2 percent for export and 35.3 percent for import) and other manufactured products (32.8 percent for export and 30.9 percent for import).

In November 2014, according to the INS's preliminary estimates, FOB exports totaled 20.608 billion lei (4.656 billion euros) and CIF imports totaled 22.597 billion lei (5.105 billion euros).
