According to the document, the depreciation recorded was in line with the evolution of the Central and Eastern European market.

In terms of volumes, the over 170 transactions recorded in Romania in 2018 amounted to approximately EUR 5 billion, and the sum is based on the values of the transactions made public, as well as estimates and projections of the values in cases where price data did not were available from public sources.

In this respect, the number of transactions is increasing compared to the previous years, which had an average of 130-140 transactions per year.

The PwC Romania report reveals that for 2018 the most effervescent areas were IT & C, medical services and pharma, real estate and industrial production. 

PwC Romania's specialists anticipate a similar trend in terms of market value and number of transactions for the year 2019. "There are projects already underway in several sectors, and their successful completion depends largely on the country's economic and legislative stability.
