The record year was 2014, when 90,000 sqm were transacted.
 
Timişoara has therefore consolidated its position as the second industrial market in Romania, following Bucharest, with a total of 215,000 sqm in the last three years, due to increasing request from the logistics operators and production companies.
 
„The zone of Timişoara continues to be one of the main destinations for the foreign investments in the field of production and logistics facilities. The zone benefits form a bettered infrastructure and connection to the highway network towards Western Europe, a tradition regarding the industrial field and qualified labour, as well as industrial parks developed at modern standards“, says Felicia Vasiu, regional director of Activ Property Services.
 
Major transactions were registered by companies such as Continental Tyres, Ursus, Quehenberger, TT Electronics and DB Schenker.
 
The modern industrial stock in Timişoara area has increased up to a volume of 850,000 sqm, with 470,000 sqm of spaces for rent. New spaces are expected to be developed in the following years, both as actual parks extensions and through the launching of new projects on the already bought lands. (source: zf.ro)
