The company presented the project of the new production unit, a production unit of 11,000 sqm, according to data from the Dâmboviţa County Council.

"Current Metal is part of Akim Metal, an important component manufacturer in the household appliance industry, with more than 40 years experience in the field, which owns eight factories in Turkey. Within the branch in our county there will be produced ten parts of SC Arctic SA washing machines (plastic, including carcasses), the investment amounting to approximately 50 million euros", according to the data provided by the representatives of the Council County Dâmboviţa.

The decision comes in the context when Arcelik, the owner of Arctic, have started to develop their second factory in Romania in Ulmi, Dambovita County, where they will produce washing machines.

The Dâmboviţa County Council announced in spring that it is negotiating with three companies in Turkey who are interested in opening factories in the county, near the Arctic production units. The three companies - Mefa Endustri, Telas and A Group (including Curent Metal) - are planning to build factories in Comişani and Văcăreşti communes, according to the data provided by the council.
