German group Dalli to buy P&G’s detergent factory in Romania

American group Procter & Gamble will sell their detergent factory in Timisoara to German company Dalli in a deal worth some EUR 30 million, according to local mergers and acquisitions journal Mirsanu.ro. Dalli and P&G haven’t made any official announcement so far.

Eurostat: Romania, 5th place in EU in terms of industrial production growth in September

Industrial production in the European Union (EU 28) and in the Eurozone rose by 0.6% in September 2014 compared with August 2014, with Romania having been among the countries where the industrial production recorded the highest growth rates month on month, according to the data released on Wednesday by the European Statistical Office (Eurostat).

The industrial production increased by 7.4% year-on-year in the first nine months of 2014, as gross series, and by 8.5% as adjusted series by number of working days and seasonality, mainly due to the growth in manufacturing industry (up 8.8%) and in mining and quarrying (up 0.6%), according to data from the Statistics Institute INS.

Ceramic blocks producer Cemacon reported a 37 percent increase for the first none months of the year, compared to the same period of the previous year. The company posted for the first nine months of the year a net result of RON 3.76 million and a gross turnover of over RON 51 million.
