Romania, among EU states where industrial output dropped in October

Industrial output descended in October by 0.3 pct in the European Union (UE) and by 0.1 pct in the Eurozone (EA 19), compared to the previous month, shows data published by the European Statistics Office (Eurostat).

Romanian industrial production up by 2.7 pct in August compared with 2015

The industrial production increased by 1.8 percent in the euro area in August 2016, compared with August 2015, due to production of durable consumer goods rising by 4.9 percent, capital goods by 2.6 percent, intermediate goods by 2.0 percent and energy by 1.5 percent, while production of non-durable consumer goods dropped by 0.1 percent.

Industrial producer prices in Romania decline 0.3pct in Aug. 2016

Industrial producer prices in Romania declined 0.3 percent in August 2016 on a monthly basis and 1.9 percent y-o-y, according to data released by the National Statistics Institute (INS) on Tuesday.

Romania, among EU states registering growth of industrial production in July

Although the industrial production decreased by 1.1 percent in euro area and by 1 percent in EU28 in July 2016, compared with June 2016, Romania is among the EU states where output of the industry grew by 0.6 percent, according to the European Statistics Office (Eurostat).

Romania’s car production fell on eight months by 6.5 pct

The car sales grew by 16.1 percent up to 87,447 units in the first 8 months of the year compared with the same period of 2015, while the national cars production registered 240,005 units, down 6.5 percent compared to last year, according to the statistics of the Association of Producers and Importers of Cars (APIA).

Romanian industry’s turnover records first drop in six months

The overall turnover of companies in industry dropped by 3.3% in July this year compared to July 2015.

Industrial production prices down 0.5%

In July 2016, industrial production prices for the total (domestic market and non-domestic market) decreased by 0.5% compared to June 2016.

Romania’s bicycle production doubles between 2009 and 2015

Romania’s bicycle production reached 900,000 units last year after an advance of about 10% compared to 2014. The production could reach one million units this year if the growth pace remains constant.
