"We are constantly trying to offer our customers what they want, and our research has shown us that salty snacks and biscuits Alka are the most loved ones. Thus, we decided to open a new production capacity, in addition to the one we already have in Bucharest. An ambitious project for which we have already received the vote of confidence by obtaining a grant of € 2.4 million", said Ady Hirsch, CEO of Alka Group.

The new production unit will be located within the Ploiesti Industrial Park and will be developed a total area of over 10,000 square meters. The investment will include a production hall, a warehouse for raw materials, an administrative building, a local technical building, and a shop with a terrace.

Out of the € 11.5 million, as much as the entire investment, over € 3.5 million comes from private co-financing, and about € 2.4 million is non-reimbursable public aid. In the first phase, the new production facility will create about 100 new jobs.

In the summer of last year, the company completed an investment of 500,000 euros in a central warehouse located in Mogosoaia, with more than 3,000 square meters.

In 2016, the group registered a turnover of 155 million lei and currently has over 600 employees. (source: magazinulprogresiv.ro)
