The transaction between the Dutch company and Belgian entrepreneur Yves Weerts is estimated to have closed at some EUR 10 million, according to local media. This is the third logistics park CTP bought in Romania in a few months.

The park, renamed CTPark Deva, has a total area of 43,000 sqm, with 17,000 sqm of land still available for development. CTPark Deva is located close to the A1 highway near Deva. It was built between 2009 and 2011 for Carrefour Romania and subsequently attracted Havi Logistics company, whose main customer is McDonald’s Romania.

“Our business is growing rapidly in Romania, as more and more investors seek Class A, premium space for industrial and logistics activities. We will continue to build and buy in Romania spaces suitable for our traditional partners, the international companies, and major players in the local market,” said Remon Vos, CEO of CTP.

Deva Logistic Park is the third major purchase for the CTP network in 2015 in Romania. Earlier this year, 90,000 sqm (from Cefin Arad) were added to their existing stocks, to which another 100,000 sqm were added through the acquisition of CTPark Bucharest West (former Mercury Business Park). In July, CTP inaugurated the first project developed solely by the company, CTPark Turda, designed for their partner, Frankische.

CTP is a developer based in the Netherlands, providing comprehensive services of delivery and management of custom high-tech business parks. CTP customers are local and international companies looking to form new strategic investments or expand their operations in Central Europe. CTP owns the CTPark Network, the largest integrated premium business park in Central Europe, with over 2.5 million square meters of class A spaces in more than 50 locations. In Romania, it owns 120 hectares of land in places like Madaras, Bors, Pitesti and Cluj. (source: business-review.eu)
