CTP Romania, market leader in the field of industrial development, with a total built area of over 1,250,000 m², continues its development plans in the Transylvania region and announces an investment of EUR 50 million in the expansion of logistics parks around the city of Timisoara. Thus, the company will double its leasable area of industrial spaces by the end of 2023.

CTP's decision to continue its expansion plans and investments in Romania takes place in an unstable economic context caused by the current pandemic, but the company looks with confidence to the Transylvania region and its development potential. The expansion of the parks around Timisoara is proof of the trust that CTP gives to this region, especially to the western part of the country. Timisoara is a strategic hub on the logistics map of Romania, well connected with the rest of the region and has a skilled workforce, with an excellent reputation and enormous know-how, especially in the electronics industry.

Emilia Țepeș, Business Development Manager for Transylvania CTP, said:
„The continuation of the CTP expansion plans in Transylvania by expanding the logistics parks near Timișoara represents the proof of the trust we have in this region. We have identified numerous expansion opportunities in both the production and logistics and warehousing areas, and our plans do not stop there. Beyond this development of the logistics parks Park Timișoara I and II, we also aim to expand in the central area of Transylvania, more specifically in the parks of Turda and Sibiu. ”

The current plans concern, in particular, the expansion of the ctPark Timișoara II logistics park with a first building of 32,200 m2 already rented, located in a strategic area, close to Timișoara airport and the A1 motorway. The building is cross dock, multifunctional and can be adapted to the specific needs of customers who choose CTP as a partner. In the second stage of construction that begins this fall and will end in March 2020, CTP will deliver another 17,000 m2 inside ctPark Timișoara II.

ctPark Timișoara II is located near ctPark Timișoara I, the first logistics park developed by CTP in the western part of the country, with a total leased area of 10,000 m2.

The building will be built to an "outstanding" BREEAM standard and will integrate all the necessary features for certification. CTP Romania will achieve this through top energy insulation and LED lighting, electric charging facilities, water recirculation and the use of natural light in the warehouse.
