"Inauguration of the Decathlon logistics center accentuates the role of Romania at the regional level and is part of the strategy of developing the national commercial and distribution network. The decision to build this center in Romania was a natural one, determined by the potential for local growth and the interest in sport, manifested by more and more Romanians. Through the activity of this center, we continue to commit ourselves to encouraging all Romanians to practice sport and strengthen our commitment to the involvement and development of local communities. Thus, within the warehouse we have provided about 200 jobs for the people in Bucharest and the towns in the neighborhood of the capital, and by the end of 2018 we propose to double the number of employees, and it will increase from year to year", said Gregory Richarte, Logistics Director.

The design and fitting work lasted about 7 months. The warehouse, located in Stefanestii de Jos, Ilfov County, DN1C, will have over 1,500,000 sports items in stock, and between 50,000 and 180,000 products will be delivered daily, depending on the season and orders. (source: capital.ro)
