Elma Electronic, a global leader in embedded computing solutions and high-precision hardware, has officially broken ground on a new industrial facility in Timișoara, Romania.

Timișoara boasts a strong academic tradition, with institutions like Politehnica University Timișoara and West University of Timișoara consistently producing highly skilled technical and economic specialists. The investment, exceeding €15 million, will culminate in a comprehensive industrial complex covering over 12,000 square meters. This includes a cutting-edge production hall, extensive storage facilities, and modern office spaces.
Upon completion, this new factory will become Elma’s largest industrial hub in Europe, dedicated to the production of electronic components and rotary switches for high-demand sectors such as defense, aviation, railway, telecommunications, and medical applications.

Mihai Talabă, General Manager of Elma Electronic Romania, highlighted that the new factory will strengthen existing partnerships with technical education institutions, ensuring a continuous supply of valuable graduates. The aim is for this production unit to become a vital link between local expertise and Elma’s global network, fostering an environment ripe for innovation and collaboration for all businesses operating in the region.
