“This investment confirms our strategic interest for the Romanian market, provides the long-term existence of a total of 250 jobs in Romania and consolidates our global business,” said Fuchs Group CEO Nils Meyer-Pries in a press release.

 

Fuchs is the market leader in Romania since 2001 with its subsidiary plant Fuchs Condimente in Curtea de Arges. The company produces spices and spice mixes for the Romanian retail with its “Fuchs” and “Cosmin” brands representing an annual turnover of RON 70 million (EUR 16 million).

 

Since 2009, Fuchs Group invested over RON 50 million (EUR 11.3 million) in a new factory at Curtea de Arges.

 

Alex & Comp produces at Galati, since 1994, spices under the brands “Alex” and “Casa Condimentelor”. With an annual turnover of RON 10 million (EUR 2.3 million) in the spices sector, Alex & Comp is number three on the spice market in Romania. (source: business-review.eu)
