It is about the Maspex Group, the producer of well-known brands in the Romanian market, including Tymbark, Tedi, Salatini, La Festa, Arnos, Bucovina, La Vitta - and Maracana – a logistics operator, with a history of 20 years in Romania.

“We chose to develop Constanța Business Park for the numerous advantages offered by the most urbanized county in Romania. We are glad that the strategic positioning of the largest mixed-use park in the country made Maspex Romania and Maracana join the Globalworth Industrial community, the industrial and logistics sub-brand of Globalworth”, says Mihai Zaharia, Director of Investments and Capital Markets at Globalworth.

“We are adding new partners in the business park that we are developing in Constanța, together with Globalworth, which makes us accelerate the plans for the second phase of the project. We estimate a 100% occupancy rate by the end of the year, for the first unit built. It is a pioneering project in the logistics and industrial real estate sector - class A, with various functions, customizable to ensure and confer the highest standards of performance and quality, in the southeastern part of Romania. There was a real necessity to build this project, especially in the context of an increase in the eCommerce segment by 50% in the number of orders placed and by 38% of their volume. Proof of the need for such a modern business park in Constanța is the number of the trade agreements signed only 3 months after the delivery of the first unit”, adds Rusandra Bejan, Head of Operations Global Vision.

The first logistics unit within the mixed-use project Constanța Business Park has a total area of 21,300 sqm. Maspex Romania, part of the Maspex Wadowice group, one of the largest Polish investors in Romania, will have a generous storage space in the newest business park, near the Port of Constanța.

“We are glad that we will carry out our activity in a modern logistics park, built and equipped to the highest standards. The storage activity is an important part of our business, and having a space now, with such a well-connected location, will certainly be a benefit", says Grzegorz Grabowski, General Director Maspex Romania. The Maspex Groups owns four production units in Romania, at Vălenii de Munte, Giurgiu, Timișoara and Vatra Dornei, with about 1,600 employees. Maspex Romania, one of the largest producers of soft drinks and snacks, constantly invests in developing and modernizing the production capacity and storage facilities.

Maracana, a Romanian transportation company with an activity of 20 years, has also rented 2,600 square meters in Constanța Business Park. “We chose Constanța Business Park to streamline the operations that the Maracana group carries out in the southeastern part of the country. These are distribution services, express courier deliveries, parcels, partial and full loads in Europe, transport of dangerous goods, thermal and refrigerated transport. For Maracana, this new warehouse, inside the modern park developed by Global Vision and Globalworth is a strategic step to increase the distribution network in Romania, after the development of the company's first logistics center, in Timișoara, 4 years ago”, says Eugen Supuran, CEO Maracana.

In July 2020, Globalworth and Global Vision completed the construction of the first 21,300 sqm storage unit. The potential of expanding the current unit is up to 100,000 sqm, and the logistics and industrial function is up to 400,000 sqm. Constanța Business Park is located near the Port of Constanța, on the Pan-European IV transport corridor, with easy access to the A4 Motorway and connected to the national road DN 39 that connects Constanța to Mangalia. Globalworth and Global Vision also have a project in development, in parallel with the one placed in Constanța. It is about Chitila Logistics Hub - where the first storage unit, with an area of 23,100 sqm, has recently been delivered.
