Yazaki has 38 locations worldwide. In Romania the Japanese concern arrived in 2003 and has permanently expanded its activity. Its turnover is currently standing at approximately EUR 340 M. The Japanese auto parts producer recently announced that it will open two new production units in Braila and Urlati (Prahova County), and will hire 4,000 people.

“The new Yazaki plant in Urlati is under construction and will cover a surface of over 12,000 square meters. The production will start in two weeks’ time, with approximately 120-150 employees, and by next April the company will have around 1,000 employees,” Marian Machitescu, the mayor of Urlati, stated. According to market information, Yazaki has also invested in a production plant in Braila, where it will hire 3,000 people.

 

Last year the four Yazaki units in Romania (two plants in Ploiesti and Arad and two work points in Caracal and Timisoara) were employing over 4,700 persons. (source: nineoclock.ro)
