This center will connect railway transport, air transport and road networks. The project will include an intermodal freight terminal, and a passenger intermodal terminal, according to the airport’s representatives.

The investments are included in Romania’s General Transport Master Plan for the 2015-2023 period.

The European Union will also co-finance the feasibility studies for the new intermodal hub providing EUR 1 million, via its TEN-T program. The program’s purpose is to ensure the cohesion, interconnection and interoperability of the trans-European transport network. (source: Romania-insider.com)
