In a world where coffee is more than just a drink, but rather a cultural experience, Turabo has developed the most diverse collection of flavored coffee capsules in Romania.
This will be expanded with the inauguration of the brand’s first factory, located in Bucharest, after an investment of over 1 million euros.
The new production capacity will allow the company to produce 100 million capsules and 1 million kilograms of roasted coffee annually.
Efficient and sustainable production
The opening of the specialty coffee and coffee capsule factory in Romania is the result of a sustained effort to meet the increased demand for Turabo products. The equipment in the new factory is at the forefront of technology and ensures the best quality in each batch with energy consumption reduced by up to 80%.
These are part of Turabo's sustainability and environmental policy, reducing the chain between production and delivery, by locating the factory in a local area, closer to national distributors who are currently considered the main sales market.
Increased performance level in 2024
In 2024, the company reached an impressive level of performance, with over 10 million capsules sold and a turnover of over 2 million euros at group level. Thus, it consolidated its presence on the Romanian retail market by listing the product range in over 1,400 stores/supermarkets, through a partnership that brought Turabo coffee closer to consumers across the country.
The products can be found online in Romania and in 22 European countries through its own platform turabo.ro and other specialized sites.
“Currently, Turabo boasts the largest collection of coffee capsules with Nespresso compatible flavors. Our expanded range includes beloved flavors such as Caramel, Vanilla, Cinnamon, Dulce de Leche, Oreo, Macadamia Nut, Hazelnut, Spicy Pili Pili, Irish Cream, Amaretto, Havana Rum, Grand Marnier, along with the classics Espresso, Decaffeinato and Cappuccino.
This expansion not only improves our operational efficiency, but also allows us to diversify our product offerings. With this investment, Turabo will introduce up to 20 new products specifically designed for both Dolce Gusto and Nespresso capsule systems,” Turabo representatives said.
