“The contract was offered, following the completion of the public tender (open tender), to Eko Insaat Ve Tic, and has a value of RON 393,881,389.36, VAT not included. The financing comes from non-reimbursable European funds (85 per cent) and the state budget (15 per cent),” a CNADNR press release shows.

The contract’s duration is 48 months, of which 24 months for construction works and 24 months for the warranty period, and the beltway has a length of 30.7 kilometres. Of that, 16 kilometres overlap the projected A7 Highway.
