In the last three months of last year, WDP has bought from Carrefour a warehouse in Brazi, which will expand by 11,000 square meters by autumn this year, with an estimated investment of about 5 million euros. The French retailer will rent it for 10 years. Also for Carrefour, the company will invest in Deva about 24 million euros in the development of a distribution center. The new warehouse will have an area of 45,000 square meters and will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2019.

An estimated budget of about 45 million euros will be invested in a logistics park in Ştefăneştii de Jos, dedicated to Auchan. The new buildings, which will total 77,000 square meters, will be leased by Auchan for seven years. The project should be completed during the first quarter of 2020.

WDP owns 25 rentable properties in Romania with a total area of over 623,000 square meters and an area of nearly 400 hectares of land for expansion. The value of the local real estate portfolio of the investor amounted to 447.3 million euros at the end of last year and represents 13% of the Belgian developer's global activity.

Belgian investors have so far invested more than one billion euros in Romanian properties, mostly before the crisis, but have future projects involving hundreds of millions of euros. (source: profit.ro)
