Romania’s gross minimum wage increases to RON 1,450

The gross minimum salary in Romania increases from RON 1,250 to RON 1,450 (EUR 322) starting today. About 2.1 million employees will benefit from this measure, 300,000 of whom work in the public sector.

Unemployment rate reaches lowest level after 2008 in Romania

The number of unemployed people in Romania significantly dropped in December last year, by 14,444 compared to the previous month, reaching 506,758. It is a new minimum level after the onset of the economic crisis in 2008.

Average net wage goes up in Romania in October

The average net wage in Romania was RON 2,108 (EUR 469) in October, up by RON 14 or 0.7% compared to the previous month.

Average net wage in Romania, up 14% in September compared to last year

The average net wage in Romania reached RON 2,094 (EUR 465) in September, up 0.9% compared to the previous month. Compared to September 2015, the net average wage went up by 14.2%.
